We can provide the feed industry for poultry with added value in the field of health, and the development of immunity and disease resistance in relation to nutrition. Think in terms of:

Intestinal integrity

GD Animal Health has great in-house expertise on intestinal health, in order to advise you on evaluation of the ongoing intestinal health of the flock, and the effect of additives on intestinal health.

Bone development

Liver development

During autopsy, macroscopic assessment of the liver, based on its colour and size, cannot always determine whether the liver has an active function in normal body processes or whether it is under pressure. Liver disease or other accumulations can occur in an abnormal liver. Another possibility is that the liver has a very active role in an immunity reaction at the time of study. The measures required to steer or support the flock vary greatly however, depending on the type of change identified in the liver.

The liver score may provide clarity. A histological assessment of a number of aspects of the liver results in this liver score. The parameters which determine the score can be divided into two main categories: abnormalities in the actual liver cells and immunity components in the liver.

This allows simple insight into the status of liver health and the 'pressure' on the liver. Specific measures can then be taken, if necessary, on the basis of this assessment.
