“Since 2005 Centre of Veterinary Diagnostics Ltd, CVD (Ukraine, Kyiv) have participated in 24 International ring trials organised by GD. It’s very important for our serology and PCR labs to take the professional “exams” like that. For us it’s one of the ways to check the trueness of our results and to compare them to the results of other laboratories and to determine reliability of our diagnostic tool. Good results and Certificate of participation in PTS organised by GD is a great evidence of our competence for ourselves, for accreditation bodies and for our customers.
We would like to thank all the PTS team for professionalism and high quality job from its beginning to the Final report”.

"Our UK laboratories use the GD PT schemes as an essential part of our accredited testing. We have found all aspects of sample transport and presentation to be very tightly controlled and final reports are extremely comprehensive with detailed statistical analysis and appropriate summaries. The team members at GD are very responsive to our communications and we are very pleased to include them as an approved supplier to our laboratories' operations."

Group Quality Manager, National Milk Laboratories

"As an ELISA kit producer, we are entirely satisfied with the GD proficiency testing scheme. Sensitivity and analytical sensitivity parameters are efficiently covered in the programmes thanks to the careful selection of serum samples. Different strains are also included in the schemes when necessary. Reports are complete and include a critical analysis of results. Prices are reasonable. The PTS team is reactive, efficient and open to dialogue with participants, taking into account our comments and suggestions."

"The PTS on AI and ND as issued by GD Animal Health are very useful as an additional item in the ringtrials required by quality management. I found the organisation and evaluation of the PTS extremely professional. The organisers have been open to discussions on improvement/refinement of the data submission and evaluation. The possibility to hand in results via a web interface is an added plus."
Prof. Dr. Timm Harder
Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut
"Thanks to our participation in GD's PTS, we as a laboratory are able to monitor, assess and where necessary improve the performance of our lab using a large number of tests. The results can be submitted in reports to clients and management to demonstrate the quality of our analyses. Additionally the very informative reports are a handy instrument to show the quality of other test kits available on the market that have not yet been used in the lab. The PTS thus act as an instrument to constantly improve the quality of our analyses."
Dr. Ellen Van Driessche
Dierengezondheidszorg Vlaanderen

"The GD proficiency tests are very well organised, from the application process to receiving the result reports. The final reports are clear, easy to understand and well written. It is very interesting to see and compare results from so many laboratories all over the world! We always participate in the testing and encourage our customers to do the same! Running those PTSs is a pragmatic and convenient way to ensure that laboratory routines are working reliably."

"Biochek routinely participates in all GD Animal Health antibody PTS. We find them not only a good gauge of the reproducibility of kits in the various laboratories around the world, but a measure of how well our ELISA tests perform comparatively to other ELISA producers and other classical methods used in antibody detection. The samples are supplied as blind testing panels and when reports are compiled it is nice to see the variation of challenging samples they contain. I feel it is a good way of confirming for Biochek that we have very reproducible products without us being able to bias the outcome, as even though we have very strict in-house controls, confirmation of performance in other laboratories is always good to see."
